  • Its giant: China is the third largest country in the world and one third of China’s landmass is made up of mountain. Some of the tallest mountains in the world including Mount Everest sits on the border of China and Nepal and in China you can find sandy deserts, huge forests, plateaus and mountains as well as bountiful river and lake paradises. It’s best known for its rivers including the Yangtze and yellow River. The Yangtze is the world’s third largest river and China is home to thousands of other rivers.
  • There’s a lot of people living in China: 1.3 billion people live in China and that makes it the most populated country in the world. About a third of the Chinese population lives in the cities and the population has an ancient history as well as philosophies and beliefs based off of 3000 year-old teachings.
  • Booming economy: China has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and many financial experts suggest that the 21st-century will make China the largest superpower nation. Although China has an extremely powerful central government their workforce and massive amount of natural resources ensures that China is the home of the world’s largest population of millionaires.
  •   It’s a great place to take in nature: China is home to a massive population of diverse animals and plants. With over 3800 species of fish/reptiles and amphibians that live in their lakes and coastal waters China offers perhaps some of the greatest aquatic diversity in the world. There are over 1200 nature reserves to protect native plant and animal species including the giant panda which is native to only this country.
